Clinical information and contacts

All appointments, operational information, and secretariat contacts are managed centrally through our clinical hub MediciOculisti.it.

How the examination is conducted and what to expect

The systemic/multidisciplinary eye examination is, from a technical-instrumental point of view, a specialist eye examination conducted according to the best ophthalmological practices: anamnesis, vision measurement, slit lamp examination, intraocular pressure evaluation, fundus examination, color tests, Lang test, with any second-level exams (such as visual field, angio-OCT, ocular microbiota test) if deemed necessary.

In some cases, especially in the presence of chronic diseases or complex clinical pictures, it is possible to combine this evaluation with a broader view, considering the possible connections with the general state of health. This "systemic" interpretation does not in any way replace standard protocols and is not in contrast with them, but can help read the clinical picture and suggest, if necessary, a consultation with other specialists.

Multidisciplinary pathway (when necessary)

The management of some ocular conditions — such as glaucoma, maculopathies, severe dry eye, complex allergies — may require the involvement of multiple healthcare professionals.

When the clinical picture suggests it, the ophthalmologist may recommend collaboration with a general practitioner, nutritionists, internists, gastroenterologists, rheumatologists, or dermatologists, in order to best integrate local and systemic aspects.

Any second-level exams (such as OCT, visual field, or other in-depth tests) are proposed only when deemed indicated by the specialist, based on guidelines and the individual case.
